Once a while, some of our customers can no longer keep their Koi due to personal reasons such as moving or illness of the owner, they are willing to donate their loved Koi for adoption.
Koi Adoption Center hosted by ColorKoi.com provides FREE services for this purpose. Our goal is to help these hobbyists to find a suitable future home for
their loved Koi so that they can be continuously loved.

What is Koi Adoption Center?
Koi Adoption Center is a service oriented organization. We provide FREE services to arrange Koi donation/adoption and an information exchange bulletin board for Koi hobbyists.
Where did the adoptee Koi come from?
From Koi owners who moved and no longer have enough space to continue keeping their loved Koi
From Koi owners who can no longer keep their Koi due to other personal reasons such as aging or illness of the owners
Donations from Koi hobbyists who breed
their own Koi and have more baby Koi than they can handle
Who are eligible for Koi adoption?
Any individual who has a pond or aquarium and also a big heart
Schools, research centers and nonprofit organizations
We welcome inquiries from
school teachers for their students’ science project or from
researchers for their science studies.
How can I donate Koi for adoption?
Take a good picture of your Koi and e-mail to koiadoption@yahoo.com with a brief description of its age, sex and breeder (if known) and history or story of the Koi.
The picture(s) and information of the Koi
will be e-mailed to the potential adopters and also posted on our
website “http://www.ColorKoi.com” for adoption.
How can I become a registered adopter?
The process to register is very easy. All you need to do is to send us the following information:
Your full name
Your mailing address
Your e-mail address
Your contact phone number
The size of your pond or aquarium and the number of fish you currently have (a picture of your pond or aquarium is a plus)
What kind of Koi you would like to adopt, e.g., size, and/or variety if you have preference
A brief description of your Koi keeping experience
